Does it exist an instruction for cloning a project? In order also to keep all the links? bungle77 - Thu May 23 11:15:28 EDT 2013 |
Re: Clone a project "Clone" implies a structure without the data. A "cloned" module has all the attributes and views but none of the Objects (except perhaps the hierarchy headings). If you want to "clone" a project to retain the links then you also want to retain the Objects. Seems like archive-and-restore is the way to go, the restored project's links look like the original. But they do NOT link to/from the original, just the corresponding objects in the restored project. -Louie |
Re: Clone a project sorry i meant copy. And i want to copy also the link modules in project and the link between the objects in copied project must use the linkset in copied link module. So archive and restore is a good solution, but if i archive and restore the project can i delete the temporary dpa file? |

I see no reason to do a "server" archive, so the *.dpa file is stored whereever you like, such as on your PC, so yes you can delete it when done. I'd be tempted to keep it however since it represents a project milestone. |
